recall

It's now the mid month of May, my site has been like a neglected pet for the last month or so, so here's an attempt to make up and make do.

Korean dramas devoured of late.

The Vineyard Man

Lousy at first but gradually became bearable.

Foxy Lady

Very naughty and nice at first but gradually downgraded to a load of junk.

One Fine Day

Yawn yawn.

Really really Love You

My favourite among the 4 stories here.

Thank you Koreandrama.Org & DramaWiki for all the wonderful updates, sypnosis and pictures on Korean dramas.

Life Art lesson

The father told his daughter this story:

"A wise monk saw a beautiful woman in distress because she could not cross a river. In order to help her, he carried her across the river. Another younger monk saw this action and was aghast for they have always been taught that monks should never have any touching contact with women. He confronted the wiser monk and accused him of wrongdoings. The wise monk replied in return, " I have put her down. Haven't you?" "

I loved the wise monk's reply. I wonder how often I commit the same foolishness as the younger monk. How about u?

nydc

Went out with couples MI & M and also C yesterday on one of my rare excursions away from the well trodden path of home and school. It was fun to be in their company and foodwise, my stomach was not complaining. Ahh... nice.

Hope that MI & M will enjoy their short trip here and that C will have a happy home trip. :)

Friendster-ing

Oh, I was just giving Friendster a proper look through and boy, it was fun looking at friends' pics and catching a glimpse of how everyone have been getting along since the last time we met some N or N^2 years ago.

And as L said, it was also a great place to look at the narcissm of others and display all our self-love. haha...

Currently reading: A Death in Vienna by Daniel Silva - The story is about art restorer and sometime spy, Gabriel Allon who was sent to Vienna by Shamron, his long time mentor and also the "Old Man" shadow head of the Israel Intelligence Agency, to investigate the bombing that injured his old friend. He found out his friend was investigating a man whom he finally found out was Radek, the Austrian who was partly responsible in destroying over 2 million Jew bodies in an attempt to cover up The Holocaust. A very compelling tale.

Just finished reading: 1) The Husband by Dean Koontz - About a landscaper/gardener who tries to rescue his wife when the kidnappers asked for a 2 million dollars ransom.
2) Darkly Dreaming Dexter & Dearly Devoted Dexter by Jeff Lindsay - The stories are a tad different from the series. I can't decide which one I prefer. This one deals more with amputations, and well, it is rather gory. I guess I am a scardy-cat who cringes at gore afterall.
3) Episodes 1 & 2 of Spy High by A.J. Butcher - your run-of-the-mill teenage super-spy stories. Not too exciting.
5)Sparkles by Louise Bagshawe - yup... a rush of Louise Bagshawe books. Enough already i think.
