treasures

I'm currently watcing a new cantonese series after almost 2 months of fasting fm tht genre. Misleading Track is a law cum mystery cum business sort of drama that HK loves to churn out. This one has Bowie Lam & Derrick Wan in two roles from different ends of the poles. I enjoy watching Derrick Wan in a baddie role. Pretty exciting so far. I had a housemate yesterday enticing me to go to the nearby neighbourhood centre to get another episode at about the closing time *roll eyes*.

The story is basically about this lady who was imprisoned for 5 years in Taiwan for the crime of killing her own husband, which she was (of course) innocent of. Also, before that, she had actually cheated her mom of her flat by making her sign some papers.

So, wat u get isn't an absolutely angelic, sinless lady. Instead, she is someone who had made some wrong turns in life, trying to make up and do better, and stuff. Quite interesting. And I like the fact tht the bad guy is molded in such a way tht sometimes, you sort of empathise with him.

Well, anyway, all in all, there are many interesting characters in the show. None are perfect (good or otherwise), which sort of make them even more appreciable.

In our everyday lives, we sometimes encounter people who are such polar opposites of ourselves, we will inadvertently get attracted to figure out what make these unique individuals tick and think.

There is this guy i know of tht does not read fiction (at all). Well, I've known many who don't read books, period. But this one, *lol*, can actually stay awake at night just to devour some book about a mathematical theory. Golly, how many people can boast of similar interests?

I've always felt tht in a way, we all live our lives in parallel of others. There will always be a time when we eat, we drink, feel joy, feel sadness, dislike, hate, love, get a grand hug, feel bitter, touched, hurt, fear, dance, stumble, breath in the scent of a rose, capture the shadows of leaves on our palms, hold the hands of a baby, get married, work, get children, grand children, age, ...

So, wat makes our single existence even more precious is when once in awhile, we encounter an anomaly. An element tht is not from the same fabric, weaved in a pattern of the same colour and shape. Then again, a beautiful pattern is also something we should cherish, to take time back and appreciate.

.... to truly treasure.

5 new cds

forgot to bring my mouse to school today. haha, funny isn't it, how our hand is so well trained, tht even though the mouse is not there, the hand would naturally move there to grab hold of the invisible little pest just to wiggle the arrow about.

After watching Finding Neverland lately (abit too 'English' for me- not bothering to write a review on it), I totally loved the song played while the credits rolled up. Maybe becoz after listening to maksim in 2 cds (the other one is not in the picture.), it was a nice change to listen to some piano playing, without the whole orchestra getting in the way and fighting to be the louder instrument. Turns out, the pianist is some pretty famous Polish star called Leszek Mozdzer. Will try to get his CD when I visit HMV one of these days. But it's rather difficult to remember his name. All I recall are lots of z(s) and e(s). Pretty interesting looking chap huh? (picture taken off another website)

completed 1st bio assignment

After a week of surfing to find out informations about optical biopsy, finally completed the 10 page report. phew! there sure are alot of cancer and diseases out there. the web is full of information of various medical terms, treatment and advancement in technology. there are also plenty of pictures with blood, gore and flesh around. haha... who needs horror pictures with these stuff around?

the nice surprise from the digging done was tht there is actually this nikon small world competition held every year, where one can submit any pictures taken from a microscope. The pictures are all real nice. Didn't know fungus and intestines can actually look so cool. Have a look urself...

luv u all

It's sooo nice to be able to clean the house down. We had a major cleanup of the house on Saturday and i just can't get over the joy of seeing the ordered shoe rack and boxes, the neatly organized shelves and the back wall of the store room. *tears in eyes* All thnx to the combined effort of everyone in the flat. totally luv u guys for taking the effort and time to mop, scrub, throw, dust, wipe, reorder & clean.

I totally dig throwing away stuff. It's as though by slowly sifting thru all the previously collected things and dumping away the rubbish, a part of life has been reordered, priorities set right again and aims cleared.

Although it's wasteful to get rid of things, it's also a great reminder to be more selective in future purchases, to think more carefully about the need for a new buy. *grin* Plus, i found a few bags and shoes that i have totally forgotten i owned. *weee.....*

The book i'm currently reading talks alot about praying to God and being close to Him (and the Shofar Blew). The ideas about not blaming others and turning to the Lord for advice are really worth remembering/trying. Just wanted to note down here, incase i forget again, down the road.

movie & buffet

It's such fun to be able to pig it out with cousins who are game in enjoying a buffet with gusto. Between the four of us, we ate more than 40 plates of assorted japanese dishes & sushi, many of which were the dessert dishes.

The movie (Howl's Moving Castle) afterwards was totally enjoyable too.

Thank you cuzs for alwiz providing such great company...

GPRS & WAP

Finally got around to learning how to download pics into my HP. Also downloaded 2 polyringtones - tv themes from Sex & The City & Six Feet Under. *joy* Got to be careful, or i might just end up getting addicted to this ringtones mania.
