John & HL's wedding

Once again, since privacy is involved, i'll just show here pics which are less private. U guys know where to see the more private ones. hehe...

The groom's hard work paid off. Check out the delicately handmade guestbook.

oohh... the shoes are off. wat's next?

The grand entrance of the the bride and groom. Haha... please excuse the blurness. They are a very pretty couple.

The sweet gifts fm the couple to the guests.

Is this the dashing groom? Cool dude heh? His "I'm a cool guy" line was delivered with the excellence of James Dean.

The West meets the East here. Please ignore the decapitated bride. Hehe... HL, don't worry. The full pic is in the disc.

Check out my nails. hoo-hoo-hoo.

The very sweet flower girl. Aw...

The whole wedding ceremony spanned over 2 days and I was quite the busy one taking pictures in glee at the 3 locations where everything took place. The first was at the bride's home. Then, after an extremely stuffy and long ride, there was another 'party' at their new place. The final one was in the PP Hotel suite and ballroom.

The bride was very pretty so I took a gazillion pics of her. Unfortunately, that meant I forgot about the groom most of the time. As a result, I only took a dozen of the prince-of-the-day. Oops. Luckily, there is an official pro photographer doing his job dat day.

Anyways, most importantly, would like to wish the bride and groom happiness and everlasting love.

dramas & animes

I have watched so many dramas lately I think I have forgotten half of the stuff I've crammed in. The more detailed list is as usual in my movies&dramas link up there, but the ones that are more memorable are below. Ok, this is just my way of obsessing over them one last time. I am too lazy to write out too many comments about them now so there...endure:

Battlestar Galactica

I love the show. Very intriguing. Too bad it's so expensive. I am only at Season 1 at the moment. The Season 4 is currently showing.

The 1st Coffee Prince Shop

Hello! Miss

H.I.T. (Homicide Investigation Team)

The 3 Korean dramas above are the ones that I don't really like that much.

奸人Kin (Men Don't Cry)

Funny TVB drama. I love the fact that the lead is actually the bad guy whereas Wong Fei Hung is the boring good guy. The dialogues are intelligent and witty but story wise, it's none too exciting.

Queen of the Game

I only watched the beginning and end of this one. Did not interest me very much.

Devil May Cry

Ouran High School Host Club

I love these two 2007 animes to bits. Do watch!

Kimi Wa Petto

Japanese dramas are always kinkier. hehe... a human pet. sweet. Just a breath away fm a gigolo tho.

Yamada Taro

Thank You

Nice Korean drama. The doctor was so rude he was entertaining. It's nice to see him caring for the girl and her daughter. Very endearing and sweet drama. His expressionless face is superb. Jang Hyuk rocks!

War Of Money

It concentrates on how swindlers and money lenders dominate the Korean society. Sort of.

The Ultimate Crime Fighter

Very nice TVB drama. My fav. show at the moment. I love seeing Moses in a 'cool' demeanor after his silly antics as tak tak dei.

同事三分情 (Office Lady? )

Another TVB favourite. Each episode is only 23 minutes long but they are all brilliant.

Surgeon Bong Dal Hee

Like OMG. I left the best for last. The best korean drama i've watched for awhile. And I don't feel guilty saying it coz there are no dashing leads here and this is as technical as a drama can get without going overboard. hehe... Many gore and blood scenes await.

Flicking back to all these dramas, I find that half of them weren't all that nice. It has been a waste of my time and effort watching some of these shows. However, there are a few gems here and there, and looking at them, I am glad that I have 'experienced' them. hehe... Go dramas!

All pictures here were obtained fm the internet. The korean dramas' pics were all grabbed fm the koreandrama.org site.

Show Mi

Thnx to vii's invitation, I joined her in one of Sammi Cheng's concert recently. Unfortunately, my camera ran out of battery just before the concert. so, I have to grab some pics taken by KS which has been posted in the Sammicheng.popz.tv website instead. Please go there to find out all about Sammi Cheng.

This is the first time I am seated so near the front of a concert and even got a chance to brush against the hands of a celebrity. It's also quite exciting to be seated among such adoring fans. The concert itself was great. She sung almost all the songs in the cd and a few more. Unfortunately she didn't sing the 'Show Mi' song. I loved all the name droppings in that particular piece. I was also real happy to c MC Yan as her guest. Have always loved LMF. Was totally sadden when the band dispersed.

chi chi people

Had a lunch recently with my mom and two other aunties (Auntie W & B; mother & daughter). My mom has always taken Auntie W as her role model and often told me how grateful she was for all the help and advice Auntie W has given her since she was young. They were very nice people indeed and reminded me of those chi-chi people we often see in HK dramas. hehe...

Among the stuff they chatted about, I was fascinated about the story of another lady acquaintance of auntie W. The lady is over 90 and is still as feisty and energetic as a 20 year old adult. She is extremely independent and chooses to stay on her own instead of her many loving and successful children because she prefers the freedom this allows her. Plus, with her own place, her housekeeper and driver will have a room of their own as well. She is still occasionally involved in some sort of business and a couple times a week, she'd have a few other aunties over for extremely long sessions of mahjongs. Auntie W said they'd reach there a little after lunch and proceed to play till 11-nish, with breaks for tea and delicious and healthy dinners. The lady is also very aware of her health and will immediately visit doctors when she feels the slightest bit unwell.

I guess I would like to be living as fully as her when i'm 90.

Books read

Perhaps u can already deduce fm the lack of entries this month dat I hv been extremely busy or/and extremely lazy. You, dear reader, are right of course. As usual, i've been busy doing unproductive tasks and accomplishing naught. But there are days yet till the end of this month and I shall strive hard to change that. ~Fighto-Ouh!~

The title of the blog today is to uhm... commemorate all the books i've been reading (instead of my journals...) *gloomy*

Currently reading: The Iron Tree by Cecilia Dart-Thornton (Book 1 of The Crowthistle Chronicles) - Boring and forgettable so far. I only selected it coz the hero was a guy. Female heroes r so boring. *yawn* So, first this guy is in the desert. Then he is in the marshland, having fallen in love with this cursed lady. Now, they are in the city, trying to break the curse. *grimace*

Just finished reading:
(i)Bridge of Souls by Fiona McIntosh (Book 3 of the Quickening) - It's a happy ending. Wyl finally ended up in the body of the North mountain king.
(ii) Forest Mage (Book 2 of The Soldier's Son Trilogy) by Robin Hobb - As usual, even though Hobb talks about the driest possible subject, soldiers in this case, she manages to engross. Book 2 has brought on a surprising twist and many many extra pounds. Instead of the usual strong, young, handsome and lithe youth, the hero this time round has been afflicted with the magic and became so fat, everyone sniggers and looks down on him. A rather disturbing tale.
(iii) Tall, Dark and Dangerous by Suzzanne Brockmann - 2 tales about Navy SEALs and how they found their 1 true love. The lady should stick to writing purely romantic flick. Her technical knowledge of SEALs are so 2D. Awful.
